Frontline training for people who never sit at a desk

Most of the world’s workforce is deskless, and most training software quietly assumes otherwise. tapybl delivers training as microreels on the phone your frontline teams already carry.

The problem with frontline training

Enterprise training tools were designed around a login, a desktop and a calendar invite. A warehouse picker, a carer and a barista have none of those. The result shows up in every L&D team’s completion data: the office completes its modules and the frontline lags, and the standard fix is chasing, which works on nobody. The people doing the most safety-critical and customer-facing work end up the least reached by formal training. It’s a format problem that gets misread as an engagement problem.

How tapybl works for frontline teams

  1. The PDFs, decks, policies and videos you already have become microreels built for a personal phone on a busy shift
  2. Each topic takes a few minutes, so training fits into a break instead of requiring cover
  3. One central publish reaches every site, shift and role at once
  4. Completion, scores and progress are tracked across the whole dispersed workforce in one view

The evidence

Microsoft’s Work Trend Index measured how often its busiest users get interrupted at work: roughly once every two minutes. A warehouse floor or a dinner service is more fragmented than that, and a half-hour training module doesn’t survive it. A microreel is built for those conditions: a few minutes on the phone already in someone’s pocket, with questions as it plays, so a completion means the person answered correctly rather than letting a video run in the background. That’s the part shown to improve what people retain.

FAQ

What is a microreel?

A microreel is a short, interactive video lesson built for phones — one topic, completed in a few minutes.

Is tapybl an LMS?

No. tapybl is a mobile microlearning platform. Many customers run it alongside an LMS: it connects automatically with any LMS supporting LTI 1.3 or SCORM 2004, so completions flow into existing records. What it replaces is the assumption that training happens at a desk.

We have thousands of frontline staff. Does the model hold at scale?

Content is built once and published centrally, so the training doesn’t get rebuilt as the workforce grows. Every learner appears in the same analytics view whatever site they work at, and the data exports for any further reporting you need.
