Hospitality training that reaches every shift
A pre-shift briefing covers whoever is in the room at 4pm. tapybl turns your menus, allergen sheets and service standards into microreels the rest of the team watches before their shift starts.

The problem with hospitality training
Hospitality staff are rarely all in one place. Split shifts, seasonal hires arriving in waves before Christmas, agency cover booked the same morning they start. When the menu changes, the update depends on a manager saying it out loud to whoever happens to be listening, and hoping the 6pm crew hears it from the 4pm crew. Allergen information travels the same way, which should worry anyone who has read their own EHO report closely.
How tapybl works for hospitality
- Menus, allergen matrices, SOPs and service standards become microreels; upload the document and edit the generated draft
- Seasonal and agency staff can complete the essentials before their first shift instead of during it
- Front of house, kitchen and housekeeping each get their own pathway, so nobody sits through content for a job they don’t do
- Knowledge checks on allergens put a score on record for each person, which is a stronger position than a signature on a sheet
The evidence
Microsoft’s Work Trend Index found its busiest users are interrupted roughly every two minutes. A dinner service is worse. Training built as a 40-minute module assumes a block of time a hospitality shift never contains; a microreel assumes the opposite and takes a few minutes per topic.

FAQ
What is a microreel?
A microreel is a short, interactive video lesson built for phones — one topic, completed in a few minutes. A menu change, an allergen update and a check-in procedure would be three separate microreels, each done in one break.
Can we train staff who speak different first languages?
Yes, by creating a version per language. When tapybl generates a microreel from your document you choose the language for the script and narration, so the same SOP becomes, say, an English and a Polish microreel, and each person is assigned the one in their language. The language is set when the microreel is created; it can’t be switched on a microreel already delivered to someone’s phone.
How quickly can seasonal staff be ready?
Send the pathway when the contract is signed. Most of the essentials (service standards, allergens, tills) can be completed on their own phone before the first shift, leaving day one for the parts that need a person.
